A Novena to the Holy Spirit in preparation for Pentecost (Sun 31 May) starts this Fri 22 May.

Many of you are familiar with novenas, the 9 days of prayer before a feast day but did you know that the Novena to the Holy Spirit in advance of Pentecost was the very first novena kept by the church?

It began with the 9 days spent by the Disciples &  Mary, from the time of Jesus’ Ascension until the Descent of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost day.
